About The Watershed Review

What the Watershed Review Is

The Watershed Review is the journal of The Watershed — a space where scholarship, storytelling, poetry, and image come together to explore what it means to live in right relationship with the more-than-human world.

We believe the ecological crises of our time are not only crises of climate or biodiversity, but crises of relationship, belonging, imagination, and meaning. The Review exists to gather voices — scholars, artists, educators, and practitioners — who are working to reweave that relationship, one piece at a time.

Each issue brings together essays, poetry, photo essays, and reflections that move between the intellectual and the embodied, the scholarly and the sacred. We publish work that asks readers to slow down, pay attention, and reconsider their place within the wider community of life.

The inaugural issue of the Watershed Review is expected Winter 2027.
